Sate of Georgia required training for Childcare Providers


Educating our children is challenging and rewarding. Ensuring their safety is a big responsibility. That's why it is an honor for us to provide you with the tools you need to be prepared in the case of a fire emergency. Knowing your best exit routes, alternate exits, evacuation procedures, and knowledge of prevention techniques is essential to establishing an effective fire plan that may save lives.


Do your part to keep your center and home safe. We will help you identify the hot spots in your center? We will help you think through your evacuation plan and provide feedback? Classroom resources are provided for free for by our website for follow up training.


Your staff will be more confident in their ability to teach the children the what to do in an emergency fire situation. The state of Georgia requires Fire Safety training for the entire staff of all licensed child care centers.


Fire Safety - Group Rate: $25 per person; Individual Rate: $30 per person


Course objectives

By the end of the training session the students will be equipped with the following:

  • Information and an understanding of the legislation pertaining to fire safety.
  • An overview of how fires start.
  • Information on the various fuels that can start a fire.
  • An overview of company fire procedures.
  • Information on raising the alarm in event of a fire.
  • Guidance on the different types of extinguishers.
  • Guidance on how to use the right extinguisher for the right type of fire.
  • Information on fire prevention at work and at home.

Fire safety legislation, How fires start, Fuel types, Procedural guidelines, Raising the alarm, Fire extinguishers, Use of extinguishers, Fire prevention, Home and work fire safety.
